an existential dream, or a waking reflection? that’s up to you. bits and pieces from old films and footage shot on the iPhone.
the kites were being flown one day at the beach by a man who tied them down and launched each one until he had about 6 or 7 in the air at once. it seemed even at the time that they were in slow motion, so i just enhanced the dream-like quality a bit more.
2 years later, i happened to be down at the beach again, and there were the kites… i introduced myself to the man and told him about my little video. i owe it all to him, so here is thanks to Steve Polansky, the kite man.
